Our Programs:
Postpone, Prevent, Prepare SM

PPP is our oldest in school program. Initiated in one school in 1989, it is an in-school program that focuses upon postponing sexual involvement, prevention of pregnancy and STD's/AIDS, and preparation for childbearing.

This program was recognized by Governor Ridge in 1997 as one of two "success" stories in Pennsylvania in the area of teen pregnancy prevention. Our Washington County teen pregnancy statistics for females ages 15 - 17 (our target group) in 1989 were 36 pregnancies per 1000. Current statistics (2002) are 19/1000 - a nearly 45% decrease.
